Abrams is one of the best tanks of the modern battlefield! It has been manufactured since 1980 by the American armament company General Dynamics Land Systems. The tank is constantly being modified to successive standards that increase its combat value. A distinctive feature of the tank is the turret, which occupies almost as large an area as the rest of the tank. The Abrams in its design boasts multilayer armor, which provides a high level of protection against cumulative munitions, shields in the form of reactive armor and dynamic shields. Abrams-type tanks were first used in combat in the early 1990s during Operation Desert Storm. Since then, Abrams have taken part in successive armed conflicts in which the United States has been involved.
