The Ranger Tab is a qualification tab authorized upon completion of the U.S. Army's Ranger School. It is a 61 day small unit tactics and combat leadership course. The course is divided into three phases as follows: Benning Phase, Mountain Phase, and Swamp Phase.
The course is conducted in various locations, but it starts at Fort Benning, GA. Those graduating from Army Ranger School are presented with the Ranger Tab.
The tab is worn below the shoulder seam on the left sleeve of uniforms. The MutliCam (OCP) Tab is worn on the MultiCam (OCP) uniform. It has hook and loop fasteners.
