United States Army Rangers or, for short, Rangers is an elite united states army light infantry formation dedicated to special operations around the globe. Today, its battle core consists of three battalions that form part of the 75th Ranger Regiment.
The 2nd Ranger Battalion was activated eight months after the first battalion and was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington. He participated in operations in Panama, Haiti, operation Iraqi Freedom in 2002 and Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
