United States Army Rangers or, for short, Rangers is an elite united states army light infantry formation dedicated to special operations around the globe. Today, its battle core consists of three battalions that form part of the 75th Ranger Regiment.
3rd Ranger Battalion - After successfully using Ranger battalions in Operation Urgent Fury in Granada, the Army Department ordered the activation of the 3rd Ranger Battalion. The battalion was officially activated in October 1984. The Battalion also participated in operations in Panama, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq.
