United States Army Special Forces, commonly known as Green Berets because of their characteristic headgear. These are special forces of the United States Army whose tasks include: unconventional warfare, internal defense abroad, direct action, special reconnaissance, counter-terrorism, information operations, countering the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
